Two dhims plead guilty to vandalism of Ibrox - should Rangers send them the repair bill?

Take them to court for the cost if the sheriff doesn’t award them.
Be a shame if they got a kicking .

“Malicious mischief” indeed - sounds more like they were a bit naughty and out for no more than a laugh.
Should they pay for the damage and repairs? Is there a single reason they should not pay?

They’ll get off with a slap on the wrist as first offenders under 25 based on the SNP’s new sentencing guidelines.

A mob of 60 folk in black balaclavas turned up at Ibrox in the middle of the night to vandalise it? The mhedia have done one hell of a job managing not to report this.
If this was reversed, Rangers fans would be on charges of hate crimes guaranteed, the fucking board needs to get it's collective finger out in matters like this, everything is one way.
60 tramp bastards and no story, we are a fucking weak joke.

Pair of wee bassas should be made to pay for repairs, compensation as well as fined, community service cleaning toilets at Ibrox and made to go to a Protestant church to educate them show them the light and lastly attend bash the bigotry and sectarian anger classes?

Alternatively they can have a cigar from Hamlet, a priest of their choice and an ex Celtic boys club coach who is fit enough to shop and go to chapel on their own as community service?

Entirely out of character for them?

WHat did they think it was just a late night balaclava running club they were at or somethin?
"M'Lord. One minute we were running, as we usually do in our club, when suddenly this batch of balaclavas suddenly fell from the sky, fitting perfectly over our heads."

I assume while a case is ongoing the media have to be careful what they print.

Anyway - it is being reported now - they are being called celtic fans and not football fans or men in balaclavas and their names and photos are all over the place now.

However I take your point - this is another crime to add to the list of many these out of control lawbreakers are guilty of. They need to be put under constant surveillance as their actions show they are incapable of behaving properly.

I highly down it.

Isla Sinclair, defending both men, told the court: "This was entirely out of character and the behaviour was a one-off situation.

TWO men have admitted filling shutter doors of Ibrox Stadium with expanding foam before an Old Firm game.
Michael McKay, 23, of Johnstone, Renfrewshire, and Ryan Cross, 19, of Dunfermline, Fife, committed the crime on April 3 2022.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that 50 to 60 individuals in black clothing wearing balaclavas turned up at the stadium in the early hours of the morning in possession of the foam.

Prosecutor Redmond Harris said: "Both men were seen on CCTV to taking part in vandalising blue shutter doors of the stadium."

They put expandable foam around 26 blue doors.

Security contacted the police who attended as the group were leaving into nearby vehicles and making off.
Mr Harris said: "Cross was running in the direction of an unmarked police vehicle."

He was apprehended and found in possession of expandable foam."He was noted to have foam on his clothing and was wearing medical gloves."

A Silver Ford Fiesta was also found to contain McKay and two cans of the foam within.

He was also noted to have expandable foam on his clothing and he was arrested.
Mr Harris stated that he had no information on the cost of the damage.

The first offenders pled guilty to a single charge of malicious mischief.

Steven Breslin, 25, of Linwood, Renfrewshire, had his not guilty plea accepted by the Crown.

Isla Sinclair, defending both men, told the court: "This was entirely out of character and the behaviour was a one-off situation.

"It was an immature act which they both recognise would have serious consequences for them and present with a significant level of remorse.

"They are extremely ashamed with the way they have behaved."

University student McKay as well as Cross had their sentences deferred pending background reports until next month by Sheriff Bernard Ablett.

He said: "It seems that was some sort of concerted incident.
"It simply cannot be a coincidence that 60 people descended on Ibrox on that time - perhaps I can hear more about that on the next occasion."

The sheriff also deferred consideration of a football banning order and granted both bail meantime.
I await the severe sentence if a couple of hours unpaid work

It's crazy how you can always tell one of them a mile off. Even if the smell didn't give it away they all seem to have that distinct look about them, wear the same gear and look like a mad deformed spud. I see that particular cretin has the standard khaki green jacket on that they all seem to wear, and looks like he's been shat out of a closing down sale at go outdoors.

What outstanding policing.. Pack of 60 youths turning up in vehicles in the dark of night when the roads are deserted, hundreds of yards from one of the most secure police stations in the UK and they nail 3 and one gets off.

No page after page of CCTV images of vehicles in the media and no press coverage on the minute by minute “countdown to violence”.

Over to you Rangers send the khunts a bill for damage and keep doing it when these tossers do things like that.Maybe that will put a stop to it.

Find out where they work and bombard their employers to get them sacked
I hope the two pieces of scum struggle for the rest of their lives
