Attributing Greatness - Souness

Something The Magnificent One said on When We Were Kings Documentary, we attribute greatness too easily - even to those who have only had one or two good seasons.

I don't know about anyone else but I completely agree with this, we put people up on a pedestal far too quick nowadays, there's not much patience for allowing players to bed in and cement themselves in as greats

Very true, we have had many a young player who has a couple of good/great games THEN all of a sudden tv, radio, papers, ex players the works say they are the NEXT BIG THING, then head gets too big to go down the tunnel then hardly seen again, let them settle, time will always tell how great these players can be.
