Now that they have removed the cup tied rule in European competitions, will he be able to be registered for the group's if we get through?

Really hope so but spent time this afternoon (too long) looking at google and UEFA pages and still not sure - lots of references to players moving in winter window and playing for one club in group stages and another in knock out but couldn't find anything about qualifying to qualifying or qualifying to group - hope someone has clearer info - find out soon

Once the groups have been drawn you are given an opportunity to register which players you would like to use in the group stages, this excludes members under the age of 21. You must also have 4 players trained at the club for three years I am sure and 4 players trained within the nation the team is representing. I am sure the registration period is the day after deadline day.

There is then another chance to register players after the Christmas break.

Here’s the rule straight from UEFA Europa League regulations 2018-21 cycle

41.06 As a rule, a player may not play in the UEFA Champions League and/or UEFA Europa League, for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 32, a player can be registered in accordance with Paragraph 43.01 to Paragraph 43.03. A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.
