Bury FC phoenix club

Are Bury AFC trying to scare the bears off?

My inbox today...:))

A former Bury FC player Tom Pope, big strong centre forward, plays for Congleton Town, so we are hoping he does not score against us as he did in the home game which we won 2-1.
Tom Pope also scored for Port Vale in the last ever Bury FC game at Gigg Lane

We also had the Newcastle Utd Nick Pope, goalkeeper played for Bury FC

We had 2 Popes and a Mayor, all sadly in our past as Bury FC is still in administration.

Here are the highlights of our FA Vase game away at Tring, our victory has put us into the last 8 and our next opponent will be Congleton Town who we happen to be playing tonight

Even better news, we have taken the lead after 46 seconds tonight
Come on Bury AFC

I could only listen to the first half and check the updates in 2nd half on the twitter bit online but 3 points is 3 points so onwards to Wednesday.
Hi Jimmy
It was a bit disjointed today, Jack saving the penalty was immense, but we ground out the win

The top of the table is now looking like this
Played Points Team
33 70 Avro
32 67 Vauxhall Motors
32 63 Wythenshaw Town
31 62 Northwich Victoria
27 61 Bury AFC

This Wednesday, Bury AFC play their 100th game at home against the high flying, high scoring Wythenshawe Town.

Amazing thread tracking the history of Bury as it happened over the past couple of years. Someone could make a book of this. Well done GTShaker1903 and all the Shakers involved. Hope you get something done about reuniting a Bury team with Gigg Lane.

That is the fortunate thing about this thread, it really has captured the whole situation as it has developed.
The madness continues as the BFCSS group that has gained control of Gigg Lane after promoting the Vote No in the vote for the merger of the two societies, now want a second vote, now they have lost the funding and have had their application for their new team rejected

Thanks. We have been through it ourselves. And still struggling with the financial consequences over 10 years later. Accounts in the black for the first time this year since the 2012 adminstration nightmare. But still have work to do.

On the other hand Bury AFC have made a great leap foward over the past few years. From just an idea, then building a team and now a Championship in the bag at first time of asking. Amazing what fans can do when they all rally together behind a common cause.

.Maybe he wants to give Bury AFC a chance and get the game postponed so that Wythenshaw don't spoil your 100 game milestone!
Party poopers !!
It has been very bitty, up in the air, niggling fouls
We havnt been able to play our passing game and a dissapointing match for any first time viewers or anyone
Fair to say they have done a good job on us
Cant be much time left to play now

No worries, at least you have a team to follow now.

Good to get a win after the disappointment of Wednesday and good to see you got back up today and hope you have a good evening.
Hi Jimmy
I made a weekend of it and just got back to Norfolk now. Had a great time, the weather was good - dry, not lagging it down
The friendly atmosphere is amazing, everyone loves the football and SeasideShaker Jon and his gang do a terriffic job putting all the flags up. The Rangers flag proudly in it's regular place.
Just seen the weather forecast for the coming week, temperatures of minus 5 looking ominous and good luck to you guys too.

Played Points Team
34 73 Avro
33 70 Vauxhall Motors
33 66 Wythenshaw Town

Staying patient, we have our next game on Tuesday, so hoping to keep catching up with the top spot
