I'll raise you Gary Caldwell (Heid).Roy Aitken has 57 caps.
Let that sink in.
55 caps unbelievably.

The fact that McStay won 76 caps whilst achieving a solitary Scottish Cup in 9 years from 89 to 97 tells you everything about Roxburgh and Brown.
Our captain at least called them out for the charlatans they were.
And the Soviet Union. And Yugoslavia. Not sure if there's many more countries? Perhaps with the split of the likes of Czechoslovakia, but that wouldn't account for this increase.
Don't think it accounts for twice as many caps in the same timeframe though.Yugoslavia and Russia must account for about 14 or 15 new countries at least.
Edit its actually 22
Previously there would 4 teams in a qualifying group, sometimes 5 and a country would only play 1 game on Wednesday night.Don't think it accounts for twice as many caps in the same timeframe though.
There were only 3 teams in our group when we qualified for 1978P

Now there are sometimes 7 teams and there are 2 games per break
Nah? He has the same haircut as everyone from up here.I had no idea Paul Sturrock was from Ellon tbh.
Alex McLeish was born in Duke Street Hospital, when he left he went to the family home in Parkhead, and from there the family moved to Kinning Park then onto BarrheadI thought he was from Bridgeton
Gordon Smith another around this time with zero capsEven if we're being non partizan his team mate Tommy Burns who was on a different stratosphere from Aitken only got 8 caps.
I always thought Bobby Russell and TB would have been a good midfield combination.
Craig Burley is east Ayrshire
Born in Glasgow. 28 caps.Surprised they didn't include the late Ronnie Mackinnon from Isle of Lewis??
No he isn't.Craig Burley is east Ayrshire
Kennel? Or rat nest.Yeah that's right.
If they're basing it on where you were born and not where you were from, then %^*& knows where Paul McStay was born
Too busy firing it into the sheep.Well the islands are pisspoor at producing internationals. Only link I know is Andy Gray's mother came from Lewis but can't really claim his 20 caps
Think he is pal. Maybe S, Ayrshire. No he isn't.
Can’t say for certain where he was born but Craig burley is 100% from east AyrshireNo he isn't.
Wiki shows he was born Ayr, but i'm sure he grew up in Cumnock, his uncle, Goerge Burley was born Cumnock.... B.Dodds was New Cumnock.Think he is pal. Maybe S, Ayrshire.

If you knew where he was born then you would know he wasnt East Ayrshire. Can’t say for certain where he was born but Craig burley is 100% from east Ayrshire
No doubt he was a good footballer, in my humble opinion John Collins was better and I was gutted when he didn't sign for us.McStay played in a team though. The same argument gets used to lambast James Tavernier as if he can win trophies on his own.
McStay was a very good footballer who I guarantee you that Rangers would've snapped up had he not been that way inclined.
I don’t know where he was born but I know where he lived from birth till he moved to Chelsea and it was Cumnock east AyrshireIf you knew where he was born then you would know he wasnt East Ayrshire.
Not at all, Alex told me himselfStalker
As with Andy Gray his mother was from Lewis (Calloway.) But that’s as close as it gets.Surprised they didn't include the late Ronnie Mackinnon from Isle of Lewis??
