Everybody knows it's extremely unlikely.

A gambler doesn't put a bet on expecting to win(unless he bets heavy odds on shots).

What you need to do is weigh up the odds.

Is 300/1 good value? Since we've won it 7 times in 70 years (10/1) and we are stepping into the unknown, you're damn tooting 300/1 represents value.
