Shame but huge congratulations on the money raised.
Just seen the update on Twitter. Charities will benefit from the much needed cash at this time.

Hear hear. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Well done to everyone involved. Who knows what options may open up in the future. We must keep thinking big. "If they spend a fiver we will spend a tenner". No surrender.Let's face it, it was NEVER going to happen. However the whole buzz it gave the support was highly commendable for the Bridgeton bears, and £60,000 raised for charity in such a short period of time is quite remarkable and testimony to the big hearts of our support.
Take a bow everybody, 55 is coming with or without a flypast.
Why are you gloating about? it and the plural for you, singular and you multiple is you not yous, that’s not even a word!Right somebody get on the phone to Donald Trump to pass Tav the trophy on one knee along with the big guy from Halifax years ago.
Told yous there was more chance of that happening.
I agree but in fairness they did set out right at the start that if this couldn’t be achieved then the charities named would benefit. can’t really change that now.It would be nice if some was sent to Alfredo's charity. He does a lot of good work in his home country.
Just give it all to the Rangers charity foundation, mate the Trussel Fund too that manage food banks.Let the bickering begin about which charities should benefit.
As long as someone benefits that’s what counts.

It was always a very long shot.
The only criticism I've made, right from the start, was that they should have made enquiries before launching the appeal. I'm retired now but had 32 years in the Royal Air Force so had an understanding of the obstacles that needed to be overcome.
Nevertheless, a magnificent effort from the guys at the Bridgeton Loyal and the response from Bears has been superb. It's great that the charities will benefit with such a huge injection of cash.
How about this Charity it has something that resonatesCould we get you to run past with your arms out plane style and some smoke bombs strapped to your back
He's retiring from Celtic in June i believe .Any Bears with a hot air balloon?
Thats been planned by someone else apparently, watch this space!Surely we can hire a small plane with a banner flying from the back of it to circle the city for a few hours as an alternative?
Www.eyeintheskyglasgow.com is owned by a good Rangers man, so might be worth contacting if you have any ideasThere are companies out there who do drone ‘displays’, I’m sure there was one at New Year and I’ve seen it at Disney in Florida.
Perhaps a night-time display over Ibrox culminating in a ‘55’ would be appropriate.
Got sent pics on Whatsapp (i know i know) week ago with pics of this. Looks cracking.Thats been planned by someone else apparently, watch this space!
He's been grounded (down)! Is there not someone unemployed who might relish the chance of doing this?
I mean, what other skills do you need. Just be able to run around acting like a plane.
Hmm, now to find someone out of work who could do that.
