The Stevie G needs funds to avoid failure is a broken record in the media. It's crap too.
Stevie G will have a recruitment budget, and it will be a decent figure by our standards. It's how money is spent that matters. SG has always pointed out recruitment will be a team task. With himself, MA and AS all having input to reduce risk and maximise value for money. More money makes life easier, but if the pot is full, or it's half empty, planning, profiling and scouting are what will make recruitment successful. Money alone guarantees nothing.

Cummings is desperate to stay. Whatever anyone thinks of him we need players tomorrow who completely understand they are playing for their future. Some of them won’t care they know their time is up but fill the side tomorrow with guys who have the desire to stay and understand they have to win or it’s cheerio

Rangers have brought in SG and he will have as much money as possible that can be raised. It won’t be 10’s of millions we just don’t have that.
Stevie will raise the profile and perception of our club again. Him being here will raise our marketability which will add a few million a season to the pot. He won’t be able to buy a full new side of what we all call Rangers type players. That would cost around 50m and that kind of money simply isn’t available.
He will however be able to strengthen areas which are easily identifiable i.e fullbacks centre halves a midfielder or 2 and hopefully a goal machine. The hardest job will be shifting the deadwood out the door and off the wage bill.
He and Gary Mac will then have the job of gelling the new with the ones worth keeping and getting a winning mentality and confidence into the squad he builds and making them believe they can compete. This is going to take time we as a support have to understand that. He can hopefully stop 10 for the rotten mob but anyone thinking we will be world beaters by July and starts moaning if we aren’t sitting points clear by September need a reality check.
There is no abramovic type of investment out there for us. This is all about putting in the hard yards and building a side which can be strong enough not to capitulate when the going gets tough. SG is not a miracle worker but I believe he has the heart and passion given time to turn us around
