SPFL Fair Play Table

I suppose it's our fault, our players do tend to argue and walk away!

It's ridiculous that our team pick up more bookings than a team like Motherwell! The refereeing needs to be consistent, I don't care about us getting booked as long as some arse from the other team gets booked when he does exactly the same thing (Arfield at the weekend for a high boot springs to mind).

If the refs get it wrong, they should be accountable, not untouchable!

This will boil the head of the average Tim and their refereeing bias accusations. I'm sure they'll have a reason for it.

Just posted this on another thread, but it's also relevant here...….

Following on from McKenna's 2 off the ball kicks on Morelos at Pittodrie, Ferdinand's off the ball punch on Candeias in Paisley and now Morelos being elbowed off the ball at Ibrox, the club must act to highlight the fact that our players are deliberately being targeted and both Match Officials and the Compliance Officer are ignoring it.

Not only that, but the above 3 incidents have seen the perpetrators of off the ball aggression receive only 1 Yellow Card between them (Ferdinand), whilst our players who were doing nothing wrong till they were assaulted, were punished every time, receiving 1 Yellow and 2 Red cards (albeit 1 later rescinded after costing us 2 points).

Then of course, Alfie was suspended for the League Cup Final, due to receiving a Yellow Card for complaining about another shocking tackle that went unpunished by the ref v Ayr Utd.

Reffed to a different standard mate!

Did they not say on heart and hand a few weeks ago it came out celtic players need to commit something like 2 more fouls before they get booked than anyone else in the league

We've been getting refereed to different standards since we got punted to the 4th division. At least then you could almost understand it, but it's just never stopped. It's beyond a joke getting. We're hardly a dirty team and we don't have any cloggers or hatchet men in our squad so there is no logical reason for the discrepancy and for us to be sitting that far down the fair play table.

Honestly could not make it up it's a fuckin joke. These decisions effect teams over a season.

Until these crooks become responsible and answerable for their actions (like in every other employment) they will continue to be able to cripple us at will.

I'd be curious to know how many of our bookings have been for dissent. That somewhat skews the statistics, and I feel like there's been a few.

In a tight league and cup season, this will tell upon who wins and who loses.
Morelos missing the semi-final against Aberdeen has already tipped part of the balance this season against us.
This type of biased refereeing will cost us in the long run.
It is a disgrace it is patently unfair and it is glaringly corrupt to its rotten press sponsored core.

Assuming those stats are correct, in the last 9 years where we've been in the top division, we've had more disciplinary points than Them in 8 of them

There's a definite imbalance though since we came up 2.5 years ago. We never get the benefit of even a 50/50 in our favour whilst they get every dubious decision going.

Add in Morelos' red costing us 2 points and can already see how these refereeing decisions are heavily impacting our season.

Motherwell are a filthy deliberate injury-causing team of dirty b'tards yet have less than us.

All, please take note that there is a drop down on that table that shows previous seasons.

You won’t be surprised to find out Celtic top that table for the last 4 years whilst we languish strangely low.

And we didn’t have one bad challenge.

This is an important point. It's difficult to guage for the nuetral when purely looking at fouls commited, these could be 10 niggly fouls not worthy of a card or 10 bad tackles each worthy of a card.

On Saturday we didn't commit one bad foul, I'm actually struggling to racall that may bad tackles from a rangers player throughout the season. When compared to some of the tackles teams like Motherwell are putting in it's incredible that we are so far down that table

Refereed to a different standard indeed.

someone posted yesterday that our bookings/sending offs in the Europa league are almost identical with the mentally challengeds... why such a difference in the spl?

I called RC about this years ago. Celtic players had to commit almost twice as many fouls as ALL other SPL teams before getting booked. Delahunt and Keevins couldnt explain this strange phenomenon and just moved on to the next caller.

This is the sort of evidence a professional researcher could gather along with examples of the double standards, bias and lies in the press and media. Ive been arguing for years that we should employ someone to do this. Not doing it gives our enemies free reign to do as they please.

Wake up Stewart Robertson.

Note the number of fouls committed by each team is conveniently omitted from the table. That could be very revealing if it was included.

Wouldnt be that hard to work out its all available on match reports , just needs to be counted up.

If the shoe was on the other foot, this would be getting called out as proof of corruption. Hours would be spent discussing this on moronic phone ins.

As it suits the agenda, silence is the order of the day.

The only question I’d ask about the figures is what the bookings are for.
Obviously, we’ve had a few for dissent, for example.
This though, simply brings more questions.
Like, are we the only team who show dissent?
Regardless of how we look at it, it’s way, way imbalanced.

Look at St Mirren away. Both Arfield and Jack booked when they won the ball. Candeias 2 yellows after 2 goals........
