The quality of our football last night was horrendous

Passing movement first touch marking matching runs skill level awareness

It was amateur level stuff

Was the worst I have seen it in a long while

Miller needs dropped

Tav needs schooled in defending the back post

We should be passing the ball 8 hours a day until we can retain possession which was woeful last night

We don't have players who can turn and pass within 2 touches. The first touch of most of them isn't good enough, too often the midfielders receive the ball facing the defence and take too long to turn, wasting valuable seconds, giving opposition the chance to reorganise. Rarely does anyone play a through ball between defences.

He's been a smashing signing and will be a smashing player for us but Candeias had a poor night last night.

Agreed, he had a bit of a stinker, the problem with Candeias unlike more traditional wingers in our past like Cooper, Walters, Hustra, McCann etc etc where sometimes they didn't have much of an impact in games as wingers sometimes just don't get on the ball that much is that his game is mostly about workrate and doing simple things whilst providing crosses into the box. He just wasn't at the races last night.

Our tempo was way below what was required last night, too many touches, poor weight of pass, poor 1st touch from too many players too often.

Even when we got the extra man, we were still ropey. A big step back from recent performance levels.

Said it last night that our passing was on par with an Ally McCoist side.

Garbage. At one point Miller passed the ball out the park when trying to make a simple 10 yards pass under no pressure.

Wait till next week when they are under constant pressure from the Mhanks who in all fairness press really well and close down very quickly front to back.

The biggest thing is our decision making.

It is - and has been all season - absolutely fucking horrendous.

The way we failed to capitalise properly on the numerical advantage was disappointing. Yes, we had them pinned back in their own half, but we could have done a lot more to stretch them and pass around them rather than hoofing the ball in the box.

The corners weren't particularly great either.

You can add to that too many floated speculative crosses giving defenders time. Ball needs to be whipped in with pace.
In saying that our overall pace was pedantic and predictable.

While candeas is spending half the game defending for he who can't defend Tavernier then basically we are playing with 10 men, I have been saying for a long while that the guy is a liability and has cost us countless games including the cup final even the 19th Century Terrorist that plays with Hibs said his team knew how weak he was but I will get shot down again on here for saying it.

He's got pass marks so far this season but he looks what he is - a ÂŁ750k player.

He wouldn't make the bench at Bheast FC.

i mentioned on the match thread last night our passing was shocking for the standard of players we have,, our movement along with speed of thought is also really poor, we seem to have a problem finding space against teams and don't really get in behind teams ,,all in all we are still a poor outfit and sadly I don't see it getting any better soon

Some people comparing last night to the stuff we seen under McCoist. Honestly, where do you even start with that sort of pish? Some of the hyperbole and over the top criticism does the argument you're trying to make no favours.

We controlled the game for 70 of the 90 minutes last night, we created plenty of chances and didn't take them. Not taking chances at crucial times has been a big problem for us this season.

Add in the fact that the referee didn't do his job properly (again) and a couple of unlucky moments in defence and that's why we drew.

Yes our points total should be better, yes our results should be better overall but please stop making it out as if we are being outplayed by these teams because we are not.

Can only agree mate, some over the top pish posted on here at times

It's ridiculous.

I remember watching Annan Athletic coming to Ibrox and passing the ball around an Ally McCoist team for 90 minutes and walking away with a deserved 2-1 victory.

How anyone could say last night was anywhere near the results/performances like those ones is utterly mental.

Didn't think is was McCoist level but considering the cash it cost to put together and the wages we are shelling out to these players it was a poor performance.

Read again. Passing not style of play.

Some of our passing last night was abysmal, it reminded me of the dross served under McCoist. Pena tried to play the ball into Morelos and sclaffed it along the ground to one of their players, Windass distribution was garbage, Miller passed a simple 10 yards ball out the park, Cardoso had Tavernier in space, tried to roll it into his feet and gave it away, John passed the ball to a Partick player on a number of occasions...

if your players have all the confidence in the world and all the luck going. does not matter if they are shit or not you will win games. right now we do not have at. but hopefully it will come soon. in Scotland right now the tims have it. but it will come to a end for them.

it wasn't mccoist level but it was awful

there are individuals within it who have qualities but this "team" is dreadful

the manager's clueless and that is pretty much how we play

It's been poor for so long. We get ok results and everyone thinks we've suddenly "clicked" and are going to thrash everyone. Truth is we have had very very few really good, consistent performances under Pedro which is why I have little confidence. Also read he's still not won 3 on the bounce with us?

The passing may have been poor but it was nowhere near the dross served up under McCoist. By saying it does, your point loses credibility as it's just not true.

If our passing was shite, say it was shite, but don't compare it to the stuff served up by players like Faure, Argyriou etc against postman and plumbers.

He couldn't lace the boots of any of the players you have mentioned.
