Wee teams bleating about fairness in Scottish Cup ticket distribution

If Hampden is 52,000, less 4,000 for Sponsors, Hospitality, Team A & B Club Allocations, Dignitaries, Assorted hangers-on etc = circa 48,000 to “ordinary” fans.

Team A average home gate 50,000
Team B average home gate 10,000
= 60,000

so an 83/17 split of the “ordinary fan” tickets available -

Team A get 48k x 83% = 39,840
Team B get 48k x 17% = 8,160

Also works if two diddy clubs reach the final too -

Team C average home gate 7,500
Team D average home gate 3,200
= 10,700
so a 70/30 split -

Team C get 48k x 70% 33,600**
Team D get 48k x 30% 14,400**

(**obviously teams with ultra-low gates may not sell all their tickets, but distribution is still fairer, if based on attendances).

50/50 split if it’s for us v the Filth, for every other permutation the above would work

I’m on holiday, so had time to come up with this genius plan/utter bollox (delete as applicable)

if memory serves me right
a chant at this game was - you couldnt sell all your tickets lol

Would you want that if we met Manchester United in a final? Final's should be split 50/50, and if one team can't sell them then by all means give them to the team that can.
If it was proportion of tickets sold then yeah use that for all neutral games. a team with a 10k stadium selling it out week in week out im happy to give them more cause the demand is there, a team with a 20k stadium barely half filling it can fugg off.
