He’s not signing a new contract, in playing terms anyway, we’re just looking after him in a medical sense as he wouldn’t be fit to play for the rest of 2023 at least.

I’d imagine it’ll be a new striker, or Tillman if he signs.

I don’t think it has been a shirt number of note in the way that 4 (Souness & Gough), 6 (Baxter, Butcher and Barry Ferguson), or 11 (Cooper, Laudrup & Albertz) have been over the past 60-odd years.

2, 3 & 9 are definitely identifiable to Jardine, Greig & McCoist but not much outside of that.
