Are the Royal Military Police still called 'Monkeys'?

I was stationed in Bielefeld from 1970 - 1976. Ripon Kaserne

I used to go to the games at the Bielefelder Alm Stadium for most home games. (I always went to the local clubs for my football 'fix' wherever I was stationed).
When they got promoted to the Bundesliga ('71 if memory serves) we got some cracking games with some top sides. Stuttgart, Bayern, Dortmund, Hertha, Koln, Moenchengladbach, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Bremen and the like. The local derby was with Osnabruck which was always quite tasty.

I made some good friends with the local supporters and dated a few of their sisters over those years. Some of the guys started to take an interest in The Rangers as well.
As a side bonus I learned very passable colloquial German

I later did two tours in Berlin so Hertha became my team of choice.
