Free tickets to the cup final - if you are an ex referee

Apparently the ex referees are up in arms because the SFA had stopped giving them free tickets for the final (with a complimentary free lunch thrown in).
I was never aware this was ever an arrangement.
Apparently they have now been told to apply for tickets themselves, and claim back the ticket costs as expenses.
Why the %^*& should these freeholders be entitled to any tickets, never mind getting them for free?

Used to annoy a few people I knew a few Years ago - lad who never went near the Football - used to get a Cup Final ticket because his Mum was friendly with one of the Referees

They'll have enough fans running the lines,reffing the game, fourth official, VAR team,,the clowns dragged in to present us with the cup and all the other sfa and spfl rats from the dark side.

Our RSC usually hoover up a pair from our local League 2 side when required.

So they have to apply for them and claim back expenses where can they apply is there a public sale somewhere unknown to an OF fan ?
