Issue between Barisic and fan after Kilmarnock game.

Yeah ive seen the video too and clearly JB is about to get into his car to head home/off for the day. He'll have done his signings as he's left the stadium but someone has clearly chosen to ask for a signature only to be rebuffed. The players could stand all day signing stuff. Comes a point when they just want to get away from their place of work and head home.
He's also rushing off to represent our club and the POTY dinner.

Players are human the same as the rest of us. There’s only so much someone can take before they flip the lid. Do we know what has been said to BB for him to act like that, do we know maybe that he hasn’t got some personal or family issues behind closed doors that’s maybe troubling him. We all have our limits. Just cause they are footballers doesn’t make them less human than the rest of us

If a player isn’t preforming, then yeah let them know while on the pitch (within reason) but to stand and abuse a player coming out of a game we won 4-1 in, taking time to sign stuff for kids and families is well out of order.

I’ve met many players throughout the years and if you treat them with respect they will treat you with respect back.

This last year I’ve got my eyes open with a few Rangers fans and just their sense of entitlement from ticket allocations, abusing players etc. We slag them about their support but there’s a few with us that aren’t much better
I honestly think it’s the social media age we are in and message boards etc.i often recall that when I first started going most weeks was in the early 80’s where even finishing second in the league was beyond us.so I watched some awful performances and players.i think the difference now is back then you vented at the game or on the rsc bus home in my case after a defeat/bad performance.nine times out of ten by the next morning it was done and you began thinking about the next game.now a defeat or even a draw is poured over for days and eventually anyone and everyone gets it in the neck one way or another.

Some of our own are morons. Borna has been a decent signing for what we paid and how long he’s been here. His best days are behind him but abusing him is scum behaviour. These clowns don’t know what it means to be a Ranger.
Pricks like this need named, shamed and banned. No place for these scum rats at Rangers

Club should find the arsehole and if he’s there at the next game, take his ST off him for next season

Players don’t need to give their time to sign things. That they do is fair play to them.

For a grown man to have a go at players is a riddy.
Somebody must know who he is , get him named and ruin him
Fair play to Borna for calling the tit out

We have a fair number of utter idiots in our support sadly

I've just seen it on X/Twitter and not sure mate as the only other I remmeber with Butland was the one with Tav and this is a different one from that.
I seen one earlier myself but thought it looked very similar to that from earlier in the season. Possibly after the first Old Firm of the season?

Not a barisic fan and ill be glad when this chapter is over but I'd back him 100 percpercent here, even if he thumped the clown giving him abuse. Here's where people will disagree. In the stadium, folk are anxious, it's football and still a working man's game at heart, abuse will happen, if that's right or wrong is up for debate. Things will be shouted and a particularly shite display and result will see tempers fray.

It ends the second they are off the pitch. walk to the car, training ground, at the shops, they get the respect they deserve as players for our club whether you like them or not. What kind of fud thinks hurling abuse at that stage is ok?
That's a terrible reason to hold abuse up for debate. Folk who lose their shit over trivial things at the football, or hurl abuse for most of the 90 minutes appear to have something wrong with them. It doesn't show passion, it shows that they are fuckin idiots, imo.

It's really weird that some people see certain vocations/roles as being fair game to abuse.

Not a fan of Borna at all and will be glad to see him go, however, I am absolutely on his side with that. Proper embarrassing behaviour.

So THAT'S how he gets his stuff! I wandered past his place in the shopping centre and wondered if the kit was legit.
Some of it is through private signings to be fair eg I know he done with Butland recently but a lot of the stuff is purely just him out and about.

I saw he was outside the Darius Rucker gig at the 02 the other night and got like x amount of vinyl's signed, plus a guitar and another couple of bits.

Wait so this wasn’t because maybe Borna or Jack walked past / missed the guys kid on their way down??

It’s an adult chasing after and abusing players because they never signed a top for him??

Who is this lady's front bottom?

The club are going to stop this. It’s already an overhead because you get the same arseholes every week asking for stuff to be signed. Tav doesn’t sign many things because they just end up on eBay (I’ve seen him called a disgrace etc on social media because of this…). These pricks are going to ruin it for kids.

Social media is an absolute curse

You just need to look at some of the Rangers fan pages on fb to see that our support is full of absolute wallopers. It’s cringey as hell.

The worst is when a new top comes out and you have men in their 50s posting photos of themselves up on them fan pages showing off they got the new top. Or best is reading some comments if someone like Lana wolf posts a pic up on Twitter all the Rangers Da’s straight on lol. :))

But going back on topic the social media age is a complete ball ache. I’ve took myself off most Rangers fan pages as some of the shite posted on them is ridiculous at times

The guys in the crowd giving it to Butland and Barisic are fucking embarrassing and bring down the good name of Rangers.

Apart from it being ridiculously childish to have a fit because they didn’t sign stuff, it’s fucking pure Timmy porn.

We are supposed to be going into a game showing no fear and we’ve got videos circulating of our players getting into it with some fans.

Some people just need to wind their fucking necks in and stop trying to out-staunch each other.

It’s embarrassing.

Tim’s are revelling in this stuff man, they are all like excitable wee bitches with all this right now. Fucking excruciating.
Well said

I use to wait when players came back from titwood road or jordonhill or Albion during my holiday at Xmas to get autograph s
No hassle and didn't get or push anyone out way
Always thanked players
Thing s have changed feel for players and youngster s
Never sold autograph s and will hand them down to my sons
Also lucky to get autograph s during my ballboy years in 70 s

People posting pictures of themselves in a new top or whatever is one of the new lows. It's cringeworthy, attention seeking behavior.

Butland didn’t stop on Sunday so could be- he had both his boys and folk were moaning despite him apologising. Imagine watching your dad get abuse by his own fans, embarrassing.
That's the thing that really makes it out of order. If he's with his children he should be left well alone.

I was outside one day really early and my pal noticed Roofe was coming out his car and wanted to go get her picture with him and I basically stopped her and was like no, look, he's with his kids. It's just common courtesy.

Imagine being a grown man and making an arse of yourself in front of your kid because a footballer won’t sign something for you. What an embarrassment.

Too many people wanting tops and other bits of memorabilia signed these days to get it sold or one of these bonus ball raffles.
I used to walk past Ibrox to get home after a couple of pints after games and there was only ever a handful of kids with parents there. Now when I see these videos or pictures there are 10 times the amount there.
Its only a matter of time before stewards are bringing the players cars into I rox so the players can drive past
the idiot mouthing off should be ashamed of himself

If that's how me makes a living at least it sounds like genuine autographed stuff he's flogging. I was a bit sceptical when I walked past and he had a shirt signed by Big Phil in the shop window. Wasn't cheap either.

Grown adults wanting anything signed has always seemed pretty weird/sad to me but each to their own.

Fair enough a kid wanting something signed off their heroes but a grown adult actually having a go because they never got something signed? Absolutely mental behaviour.

Have a chat with a player, maybe a quick photo if it's not too much hassle but to actually start hurling abuse because they've not given an autograph? I can't get my head around that.

I think it’s time we accept that we do have fans that act like idiots. We need to stop with the not a fan thing.
Sorry, I think it could be an “entrepreneur”. If you’re saying it definitely isn’t, then we agree to disagree. Somebody is desperate to get a shirt signed so he can flog it to pay for a few power cards for the week, rages because they went to the kids. Or a fan who wants a signed shirt for his weans. Or even a fan who is pissed and spits the dummy out. Suppose it could be any of those. Or even a disgruntled fan who sells stuff.

I never said it definitely wasn’t a fan, and I have been going long enough to know that the amount of neds in our support has increased. But I still think it’s likely to have been a memorabilia reseller.

Some amount of roasters in our fanbase and plenty of self entitled ones at that

Good on Borna & Butland for biting back. The players will no doubt be aware of people who do this week every week to then sell the signed stuff on as well.

People that have a go at the players for reacting are part of the problem as well in my opinion.

Entitled wee bitches full of “prop”

This has probably been asked already, but is it the same guy that's involved with both Barisic and Butland?
It’s not. My young son is in the Borna video but we never heard what happened. The Butland one happened right behind me and I heard just about every bit of it. He was an older guy wanting a canvas signed. He was bang out of order shouting he pays butlands wages etc. A total d1ck of a guy.

Where did it come from that fans think they are entitled to an autograph, selfie, player’s shirt or whatever. You pay your money for admission to a game of football and that’s it

Seems like nothing has changed in years then. I remember being at Ibrox after a game years ago with my son and a kind steward told us where to go to get Steven Gerrard as he was leaving. We stood waiting and when he came out, grown men actually elbowed my son out the way to wave tops in Gerrard's face to sign.

My son was gutted and that was one of the last times we stayed behind as it was getting worse and worse, and my son was not one who would push forward. Yet we had lots of nights meeting players and everyone waited in line patiently, and I've for some pictures I'll treasure forever.

The amount of people with multiple prints and books was crazy and I can understand why the players must get annoyed with it. We should never take it for granted and certainly not just expect it! I can absolutely see the club stopping it to avoid this happening as it's such a bad look, all over social media and the Daily Record running several gloating articles!

I'm not by any means old, but I hate what life is becoming with social media and phones in your face at any opportunity!

I've saw us up 4-0 in the past and some people still hurl abuse at the players

I remember being at a game in the lower divisions and we went 4 or 5 up and the guy behind me never celebrated, just sat in his seat and exclaimed “shite! Just shite”

Also same guy a few weeks before came in, we went 2 up early on and he left to go to the pub. Couldn’t have been anymore than 20 mins on the clock.

Came from up Peterhead way as well I’m sure.

Why do people like this even bother going

I remember as a kid, sandy Jardine being the first Rangers player I met. I really wanted his autograph, but my old man was a bit wary of pestering him. Anyway, he asked him politely if he would give me his autograph and he was more than happy to and an absolute gentleman, who put me at ease as I was overawed

Still remember that well, it's a fine memory. How things have changed and certainly not for the better.
