Turning in to a complete shambles of a club.

From the fantastic season beating Aberdeen, then failing to play in a cup due to stag do, now winning one Cup getting to the final of Junior Cup then Immediately after the win today sacking the manager.

If rumours are true he was told he would have no money, John Gall stepping down, and now first team saying they won't play again.

Shambles.

It was the West Cup rather than the Junior Cup that they won.

But Darvel are a small club from a small catchment area. A few years of spending dodgy money put them in an unrealistic position.

Ashfield manager has done a great job there but Darvel are still doing well in the Premier and, obviously, the cups so it's a step up from Ashfield.

Ashfield manager has did a great job with basically an amateur team (Harestanes).

They were amateur in name but they weren't just amateur players making the step up mate. More junior players playing down when they were at Harestanes. Also got a couple ex pros in too.

That's not to take away from the job he's done btw. It's been a fantastic job and he deserves his step up if it comes.

He’s a supporter of the Scum. Pretty sure his father (of the same name) works for SFA after Levein brought him in while he was Scotland manager & his brother in law is Jim Goodwin
