MY RESPONSE TO THE MAGAZINE'S EDITOR -

Your correspondent Fiona McDerment, May 2024 WSC, was being a little economical with the réalité, in her article on the banning of Celtic fans from the recent Old Firm women’s game at Ibrox.

She is correct that a Celtic risk group intended to attend en masse. What she fails to report is that they were to be accompanied by a group of PSG hooligans with pyrotechnics and damage to the stadium very much part of the agenda. Also - She describes the “self-sabotage” of the game by Rangers in not allowing in away fans as a strange choice.

Celtic were informed of the planned attacks and given the names of those identified but refused to take action against them for reasons best known to themselves.

celtic and most of their fans are oblivious to facts that are detrimental towards their particular outrage of that day.

After reading the article the bozo who shat these words out is clearly and deliberately ignoring the reasons Rangers gave. The whole article is a sham as it doesn't genuinely address the actuall issues, they conviently leave that out so they can attack Rangers without any real knowledge. The selective stupidity of them truly holds no bounds.

Heres another Jock Stein quote

"The name of Celtic must be kept clean at all times"

Why oh why is this fat piece of excremetent still revered in footballing circles.

What next ..quotes from Jimmy Saville?

Stein and McNeil should have been removed from the SFA Hall of Fame long ago.

They knew of the criminal behaviour against children at the piggery, and refused to contact the police.

A pair of scumbags.

Brilliant response.

You can also guarantee that it would be the PSG guys that would have been doing 90% of the damage to make it hard to hold anyone local to account.

I trust that this correction will appear in the magazine, the Tims are repeat offenders when it comes to putting their slant on things, or as we would say, lying through their popcorn teeth.
