Delivering an A8 near Monklands a few years ago. There was a BMW X5 already in the driveway with the plate I5LAY.
I am from Islay so was quite amused to see it.

Quite a few years ago in my home town of Stornoway, I saw a car with A1 RFC. If I remember rightly, it was a Honda CRV and the woman said she was from Islay.

Plate in Blackburn (Lancs) has RS3, on an RS3, funnily enough. Plate will be more valuable than the car.

Edit: just reg checked and nothing coming up. Likely smashed it and put plate on retention!
