PSG / Dortmund

Quite the story in Dortmund. Guys like Maatsen and Sancho have given them a huge lift but so has the return of Sahin and Bender as coaches. It feels like they've recaptured the spirit of the Klopp era.

I remember Terzic was scoffed at after the PSV game when he said the club would be focussing on the UCL rather than the league but those comments galvanised the players and support. Hummels has been outstanding and Schlotterbeck is playing like the centre back everybody hoped he could be at Freiburg.

Not sure it's all doom and gloom for PSG, even if they are ostensibly cursed in this competition. They have an average squad age of 24 with plenty of talent coming through. Ramos and RKL have underwhelmed, but they've also felt like side actors trying to fit in next to Mbappe. Some of the best football PSG have played this season has been without him. I don't think Lucho has ever been fully comfortable with the situation either.

It's been brilliant watching the two clubs this season, both sets of fans are something else.
