Stuart Cosgrove broke broadcast guidelines with comments about Rangers legend Richard Gough, the BBC has found

No problem with Tam Cowan at all. Totally entertaining guy to listen to most of the time. Cosgrove is very different - a total bore who thinks he's clever but is actually very stupid.
Having seen Tam Cowan as an after dinner speaker recently, I would say his ‘patter’ belongs in an age best forgotten. There are enough isms in there to fill a dictionary, and he doesn’t know when to stop either. The epitome of an act well past its sell-by date which stinks more than Gazza’s fish in Durie’s car.

So there are Two Blue Moons in the Sky, in so much as a complaint has been upheld on the, Biased Broadcasting Company. It’s an easy shot for Scum like that as anything against a Non Kaflix is acceptable, otherwise say anything against the Septic, and as Scum will take some form of retribution against whoever made any comment.

I'm sure his bosses and him were all having a good laugh about it as they told him he needed to go to diversity training, basically.a box ticking exercise to try and appease the Rangers fans.

Cosgrove and the BBC are complete scum. The fact he wasn't sacked when he admitted to shouting sectarian abuse at Rangers fans years ago says it all.

As well as being a complete wanker, him and his fat mate are also as funny as a trip to the dentist. Why anyone listens to this is beyond me.
The taxpayer funded gravy train, with seats at a premium. And Stu is extremely jealous of his.

Without sounding up my own arse, I'm a proponent of balance in the media as a diet of overly right wing dominance isn't the answer either, but anyone with the merest notion of an inquisitive mind can see why the Tories want to defund the BBC.

The watershed moment of the dodgy dossier was seen as the nadir of the organisation. When in actual fact, it has only went downhill since.

I honestly reckon that when David Attenborough ceases to broadcast, one of the last barriers, from a public sentimentality perspective, to an abolition of the mandatory licence fee will be removed.

How the BBC exists thereafter and for how long (presumably on a subscriber model) is anyone's guess.

Token Tam.

Not remotely in the same league as Cosgrove in the tedious bore stakes, but a bore nonetheless.

As you say mate, well past its sell-by-date.

Let’s cut to the chase here - Cosgrove said what he did because firstly, he’s in the early stages of doddery old age where men don’t tend to think too carefully about what they have to say anymore, and secondly, because as a septuagenarian Nat blowhard, anything that doesn’t conform to his ersatz socialism, especially if it’s in some way related to a perceived overt unionism, is clearly an easy target for cheap laughs.

So, Cosgrove rocking up in his skinny denims and latte for a slice of diversity training at the Beeb sounds to me about as punitive as a child molester being forced to clean the toilets in Mothercare.

Cosgrove cleaning Richard Gough’s toilets in his skinny denims, preferably using his tongue, after our NIAR winning skipper and his friends and family have just had an extra hot Afrikaner barbecue, sounds like a far more fitting punishment to me.

After that he can have his latte and get back to dribbling pish with Tam on his show until he begins to forget where it is and starts getting lost in the household section of Asda prompting calls over the tanoy for his family to come and collect him.

Probably not far off now.

I used to have a grudging respect for Cosgrove based on his work away from football.

But recently in particular he's got the cut of a guy who knows he's had his time and is giving less of a fck.

Any time I have the misfortune to hear OtB (My old maw listens to Radio Scotland) he makes some pantomime villain type comment about Rangers, or mocks something we've been in the press for - He does it in such a bitter cnty way too.

We are the biggest club in Scotland but the least respected by the media especially the pacific quay hand wringers. I mention Scotland and football wherever in the world I’ve been and its Rangers name that rolls off the tongue first! As mourinho once said, respect!

Cosgrove was apparently a St Johnstone “casual” in his younger days. Was arrested in Queen St station for what would be described as a sectarian hate crime as of April 1st.

This Cnut is nothing less than a little fanny.

I love the footage of him debating with Tony Wilson - Cosgrove rattles on about the name New Order and right wing imagery. Wilson simply asked him what he thought about the Communards and the prevalence of Communist imagery in the music industry. No answer other than a warble that left and right were different because one wasn’t racist - which misses the point somewhat.

The man that brought us Joy Division, New Order, A certain ratio, the durriti column (named after an anarchist battalion of the Spanish civil War), the happy Mondays, Madchester and the Hacienda being quizzed by the man that brought us Meet the Magoons.

Stroll on.

I had no idea the name New Order had far right connotations, Blue Monday was one of the tracks that got me into electronic music, Donna Summer I feel love was another. Still love Trance music to this day.
Cheers for posting.

The band were originally called Joy Division and before that Warsaw. Joy Division being the name of a concentration camp brothel. Warsaw - if I remember cite t,y brought out an album or 12 incher featuring a Hitler Youth drummer.

Prepared to be corrected on the above as my memory fails!

You are correct.

Hopefully that's not too far in the future.
I'm someone who likes tradition, and grew up with the BBC being a bastion of quality and trust.
It lost those attributes years ago and it has been on a rapid decline for a number of years now.
Hopefully it ceases to exist either in its current form or goes behind a paywall that nobody will be interested in. It can't come quick enough.
Good riddance when it does go, I won't miss it in the slightest.
An abhorrent organisation.

Well put sir….

Your vocabulary gives me a stauner.

Still got the Blue Monday 12” vinyl along with just about everything The Jam had on vinyl. Hoping for a wee payday sometime in the future.

What exactly will they be teaching him on this course?

Cosgrove is forever preaching about diversity and going on about his black wife and mixed race child like a badge of honour. He complains about the prejudice his family have faced.

But when it comes down to it, his hatred of Rangers (let’s be honest anything connected to Protestants or Unionists) is never far from the surface.
He’s just another hater pretending to be an intellectual the horrible mess that he is

It says a lot about the BBC's hiring and broadcasting standards that their employees have to be sent on a course to not behave like a prick. I would have thought that should be taken as a basic requirement.
He has been with the BBC since the Savile era, I guess that tells you all you need to know about their opinions ok staff conduct are that time

Cosgrove, the media mogul, the opinionated wordsmith, the ex-Channel 4 executive - and he has shat it today.

He’s away on holiday, apparently, so we won’t get his take on his breach of guidelines.

Pathetic, expect nothing less from the BBC. Apology should be in order though. Cosgrove is a w@nk stain, as are the rest of the BBC.

Could never understand why we resumed communication with that mob. Radio Scotland, Sportscene. Etc. utter gutter dwellers.

Cowan had played an audio clip of a radio 4 arts program where Cosgrove was a guest. His voice had completely changed and he sounded like the art critic Brian Sewell ( if any of you have heard him )
Cowan was ripping it out of Cosgrove about his voice. It was cringeworthy.

Don’t know why I’m surprised the fat wank isn’t there today. I reckon he’s in a huff and also conveniently side stepping the need to make an on air apology.

We won’t forget Cosgrove. You’re a pretentious arsehole and bigot of a man.

I still find the fact that Cosgrove is a pretty successful TV exec absolutely mind-blowing compared to the Rangers-hating Ned he is as a person.

As a St Johnstone fan, he has risked his liberty to aim sectarian abuse at us and as a "professional", he has found himself in hot water multiple times for speaking about us or those associated with us in a manner he doesn't aim towards other teams.

He's going to come out of any course the same bitter, obnoxious twat he has always been. A box ticking exercise if ever there was one.

He had his usual snide dig at the weekend, I posted on another thread, full blown Rangers Hater…April the 1st isn’t far away….that will probably be the end of them. The Hate law will get them if they don’t chuckitt first.
Do you honestly think that law will ever be implemented with any great gusto? Especially against people like Cosgrove who have an agenda against anything Rangers/Loyalist/Monarchy? Even Police Scotland have criticised the law as unworkable and the ridiculous 2 hour online training to 'allow them to understand and implement' this ridiculous law.

Hopefully Gough will be taking the lady's front bottom to court for defamation of character. Any damages he wins should be given to Erskine or an anti-racist charity.

I’d stay away from criticising patter if I were you. That’s the worst on here by some distance.
