Was in Vancouver in March/April and went to a Whitecaps game. They lost 3-1 to Real Salt Lake. I was pretty close to Willie’s corner, when the opposition get a corner on that side the fans hold up printed placards which say ‘ You’re not Willie’ on it while chanting the same.

He told that story when he did the London Rangers Club gig a couple of years back. In fairness, him, DJ, Colin Stein and Doddie all had funny stories. Must have been a great time to be a top player.

Told this story many times my Brother and his mate used to follow follow round Sweden when we did pre season training over there. We used to fit a couple of games in and during one game the ball went out for a shy right in front of them. Willie came over to take it and my brother pointed his camera at him when Willie took it off him and took a picture of the two of them.
