This is on the BBC "football gossip" page today. Is he trying to start a riot?

"Striker Leigh Griffiths has indicated on social media that he is planning to tie a Celtic scarf round the goalposts at Ibrox once again after next weekend's meeting with Rangers (Scotland on Sunday)

We should have security ready if he even attempts it. Someone better be putting this little cretin in the air next weekend

I cannot wait to see that little bastard cemented by one of our players next weekend.

Get him off the park the minute the final whistle goes. That goes for all their players they shouldn't be allowed to stand and celebrate with their scumbag fans and rip the pish out us. That's if they win which isn't a forgone conclusion.

Over to the club then.

If they know this is going to happen, have some stewarts ready to block the bheast from doing so like their lot do with our players at the BJK Camp.

Compare and contrast to the way we are treated at the piggery . Their stewards man handle our players if we score , we are stuck in a wee corner of their dump , they dont hide their utter hatred and contempt of us .

We should do the same .

That's not what he said, he responded to a parody account called "Leigh Griffiths Scarf",

"you are back in the wardrobe until next week."

He is trying to be funny, he won't try that again at Ibrox or Tynecastle now we are all aware. He done it last year well after the whistle, we were all on our way by then.

As soon as the final whistle goes we should have a ful security cordon across the width of the pitch from somewhere between halfway line and 18 yard box.

As said on the last Forum, the scenes at Ibrox in April should never be repeated and if it does then it is a serious dereliction of duty by the people who are running our club.

If Griffiths gets anywhere near the Broomloan goalposts then one of 2 things have happened.

He's broken through the security cordon.

Or Rangers have let their supporters down by not employing one.

If this was attempted when I was growing up, he wouldn't have made it out alive.

It's up the club to absolutely and categorically make sure this never happens again

And in addition to the above, I'd expect the likes of Dorrans, Jack and Miller to ensure it doesn't happen should we lose.

No skulking off up the tunnel, Jockey that wee bastards every step until he himself is off the pitch.

It won't happen!!
1 - they will lose
2 - the police won't allow it
3 - his manager won't allow it
He's looking for bites and is clearly getting them

Close the thread

I agree we must prevent any after match nonsense from Griffiths. A victory will certainly help. The slant I put on this report is an attempt to have us so pumped up that we lose our discipline on the park. Even with 11 players on the park we may lose. With one or two players sent off we will definitely lose.

Controlled aggression is needed. We must improve our passing, close them down quickly when they have possession, don't stand off them and give everything we have.

Sounds simple!!

He's a vile little scrote.

Why would the media report this?
Because twitter is now a source for the media to report from as newsworthy.

This. I couldn't really believe this was allowed to happen" twice, last season. It's understandable that an away team want to show their fans some appreciation but this was allowed to happen, they were allowed to go into the crowd and bring a fan onto the pitch; there's now way this would happen at their ground. The ref plays a part in this also; after both Celtic and Aberdeen games at Ibrox the officials couldn't get off the park quick enough; surely they have a duty to clear the pitch before they leave, ensuring there's no trouble on the pitch once the game is finished.

They can never rip the pish out of us.Because no matter what they are going to wake up Celtic supporters.

Anyone remember how our team was ripped apart in the media because the players had the audacity to win the league and wait for it........ celebrate for about 2 minutes at the piggery?

If ever someone needed slapping down it's this clown .

Be it legally on the pitch or , should the bastards win , him being given the message it's not happening .

The man is an absolute nutter and a vile human being with it .

How about a Rangers fan, sorry a football fan at Ibrox;)
Runs on the park and chokes Rocky Dennis with the said scarf.

The Rangers players went up the tunnel that day dodging projectiles including ripped up seats.

There's no way it will happen. UEFA fined them for it last time he did it so if he does it next week the Compliance Officer will be all over it like a rash ...............!

No chance of that happening.

He knows if he does anything out of line the compliant officer will deal with it in the strongest terms possible...

Exactly. We should make it clear that any further gestures or antagonism towards our fans wont be accepted. Enough is enough. If the authorities sit back and allow this AGAIN then Rangers will take steps to prevent this abuse in the future. This could take the form of moving away supporters into the WE.
