Has there ever been a duo with more quality in the history of Scottish football? The answer is no.
Great footballing brains. Their link up in the 02/03 season was tremendous.
That Dundee United goal where Barry sprayed a diagonal, de Boer killed it on the by line and waited for Barry getting to the edge of the area before teeing him up to caress it into the top corner.
Surprisingly, anytime I’ve heard De Boer speak he doesn’t seem to praise Barry as much as I would expect him too. Probably just the way he is personality wise.
Don’t think he praises anyone as highly as he praises Ronald de Boer.Great footballing brains. Their link up in the 02/03 season was tremendous.

Delighted I can't name them. It's obviously working locking that period away in a dark corner of the memory.
First reply and all that!Gascoigne / Laudrup?

Christ, I knew it was Cribari on the right but Faure had gone right out my head.Faure and Cribari.
Same goes for Barry. And again, rightly so.Don’t think he praises anyone as highly as he praises Ronald de Boer.
Supremely confident in his own ability but justifiably so.
No need for the ?Gascoigne / Laudrup?
5 million quid Lazio paid for Cribari a few seasons before he rocked up at us. Wild.Peak athletic performers
Will never be bettered

Greig and Baxter
The Greatest ever, and the best ever.
Hey come on he's Dutch. What do you expect.Don’t think he praises anyone as highly as he praises Ronald de Boer.

I hope Andy is putting his elbow into Kiernans Ribs to stop him playing.
Yes, that's a fair shout, and that was indeed the creative midfield duo of the early 1960's with McMillan and Baxter, but McMillan played less than 20 games in each of the 62-63, 63-64 Double and Treble winning seasons, as opposed to both Greig and Baxter who played close to 100 games each over those two particular seasons. As a midfield duo, I thought you might have said Baxter and McMillan?

And who could argue with the 'Greatest Ever' and the 'Bestest Ever'?
Fare and the Greek guy?Delighted I can't name them. It's obviously working locking that period away in a dark corner of the memory.
We only really got one good season from him, although for that one season he was outstanding. He was world class, no doubt, but he didn't turn it on for us as routinely as Laudrup and Gascoigne.
All right pal at least allow a thread a little time in the sun before you kill it stone dead.Gascoigne / Laudrup?
