Current Ibrox Stadium Problems and Future Redevelopments

Its not practical for most to use the subway because its a small loop. Unless you stay on the loop you need to go into town then use it. Ibrox is easy to get to by car because of the m8. Whos gonna choose a less convenient route. The only thing that really changes it is a train station
The park and ride at Shields Road is a great option.

An extension off the back off NEH.

Basic car port style build and then have rolling sides to it.

What were they charging for that? They were quick smart in taking it down yesterday morning

Honestly not sure. At first I thought it was advertised to fans looking for drinks before the game, then a post was put up a few days later saying not only was it only to be used for hospitality clients, but that alcohol was only allowed to be served post match!

Tuesday 16 April - Rangers Fans Forum Update

Sports Bar Update

Karim Virani - ‘
Going very well, still on course to launch this summer, some Council stuff to get through with licences etc but designs and everything is on point’

‘Have spoken to Fan Advisory Board to help make sure this is best for the fans’

‘The Sports Bar isn’t the end of our plans’

Update on Albion Car Park

James Bisgrove – ‘
Great question, we were going to sell part of car park to Merchant Homes but then have went into liquidation. Still talks ongoing with others so other opportunities may be there’

‘We are working on other things for fans parking wise, that investment for us so we are looking to sell for that reason’

Creag Robertson - ‘Hopefully very close on sale of part of the Albion Car Park’

What considerations to selling and creating more neighbours for the club?

James Taylor – ‘
Strong relationship with the Council in relation to any potential issues around any increasing population around the stadium so we will continue to build on this’

James Bisgrove – ‘Long term lease for Ibrox Complex is part of our commitment to maximise the area, we have been approached about things like Hotels as we look to move forward’

Catering is too expensive inside stadium, toilets are better in The Louden, what are we doing to fix this?

James Taylor - ‘
Food and Beverage, work with Levy in daily meetings to ensure things are as affordable as possible, we review what is selling and what isn’t to keep options variable. We want fans to have options here at the stadium’

Greg Marshall - ‘Toilets are coming up consistently on match surveys. Let’s speak after to see what else we can do’

Communication with Police, can we come to an arrangement for Underground, becoming unbearable on travel and it’s dangerous

Greg Marshall – ‘
In terms if SPT, I’ve been in contact with them including this’

Dan Schofield – ‘Answer is yes, we will definitely try to improve this’

Because one white elephant isn’t enough!

Now the last home game has been played, any word on the work starting on the cantilevers etc?
Would expect it to be pretty soon due to the short window till the new season.

Dont know if its been mentioned already but having started taking my daughter to the games, and sitting in the Main Stand, theres seems to be only 2 womens toilets at either end of the stand with maybe 4 or 5 cubicles judging by the width of the toilet structure. Think there is actually space on the concourse to extend these out a bit above the stairs in front of the food kiosks. You see a lot more girls at the games nowadays and having a daughter notice how big the queues are at HT waiting for her

I agree. I take my 10 year old daughter and it takes ages in the SJ front too. Always a wee bit of a worry when she's in there queuing for ages, although she usually gets befriended by some kind Bearette while she's waiting.

Wish they were doing the broomie this summer as well, seeing unsymetrical stands is gonna drive my ocd wild.
I understand that too,but I think they're wary that if there's any hitches then the Copland Road Stand won't be able to open.
What happens if the same problems arise at the Broomloan Road end?,2 stands not opening would be an unmitigated disaster.
