St Johnstone pitch looked in good condition on SaturdayLast time we played st j it was a disgrace. Who decides what length the grass in cut to, who decides if it gets watered? Who decides if it gets rolled? These things affect a game.
Would imagine the 4k allocation we have, will be given the stand across from the main stand and told to stand wherever. Assuming that holds 4k+Do you sit where you like , ( I know we will do. ) but officially ?
There clearly are sporting integrity issues of course G.
Why are we the only semi finalist with a midweek match before showcase semi finals ?
And would Hibs & particularly Motherwell have been able to afford larger player squads if they had chosen to ignore their responsibilities with respect to the drainage of their pitches ?
The SPFL will have been quite happy to kick the can down the road in the hope it causes some disruption to training and preparation for games. Why was that quite sensible decision not made last week?

Agree 100%Defo getting moved - game needs to go ahead and they can't take the chance of it being borderline then pisses down Tues pm and in to Weds
United are in a promotion race, why would they let their pitch be cut up by extra games? Plus it's their city rivals, imagine us bailing the scum out like that? The sensible decision was to move the game across the road. Anything else is just plain stupid including the lame VAR argument.
their pitch is shafted for the rest of the season, it will not take any water and floods when it rainsThat should have been the situation last week, given Dundee have secured top 6 status, they should have just left it until Dundee could host. No doubt the rest of the league will complain about sporting integrity again.
St Johnstone said no because they had a game on the pitch last weekend. Don't let it get in the road of the great conspiracy theory against us though. That's the question - why could this back up plan not have been in place last week?

You're in the space I wantedImagine the meltdown that will cause
If they can't hold the game on Wednesday, then they should be relegated immediately as they cannot fulfil fixtures. A disgusting club, who are treating other clubs and their fans with contempt. If it's cancelled again, Dundee FC should receive a very hefty fine and be closed down for good.

Absolute Mickey Mouse, they can't even get the clubs who are playing each other right ffs!!Dundee playing Celtic, are they?
Nae shit Sherlock....SPFL Statement:
SPFL:
"The SPFL has appointed an experienced pitch consultancy, which is regularly used by UEFA and other sporting bodies, to report back to the league with guidance on the condition of the pitch in advance of Wednesday’s match.
Dundee were also informed on Thursday that they must provide the pitch consultants, SPFL and Rangers with daily updates on the playing surface and weather forecast, and immediately report any concerns regarding Wednesday’s match being played at Dens Park.
It has further been agreed that the match official will carry out an inspection of the playing surface on the morning of Tuesday, April 16, after which, taking weather forecasts into account, a final decision will be taken on whether to play the game at Dens Park.
,If the game cannot be played at Dens Park the SPFL has confirmed that it will be moved to St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park on Wednesday, April 17, with Dundee making arrangements for fans of both teams to attend. If the game requires to be moved to McDiarmid Park, it will still be categorised as a Dundee FC ‘home game’.
The SPFL is grateful for the assistance of St Johnstone and will make a further announcement tomorrow."
It was only light rain which had it off last week. Its not been extreme weather like Dundee are claiming that's caused this, its just an extremely poor pitch/ drainage system.Forecast looks okay for next couple days although bit of rain on Wednesday - if the pitch can't cope with that then it's beyond fucked and will be off anytime there's a shower, let alone heavy rain.
Pitch inspection will pass tomorrow and game will go ahead at Dens, IMO.
Why??? The clue is in the question you've just asked. Sensible. When has the SFA , SPFL or any other league charged with running the game in Scotland acknowledged the term SENSIBLE.???Why was that quite sensible decision not made last week?
My outstanding memory of the old Muirton Park is how good the pies were. What about fans who want a Dundee ‘Peh can they still get those
If it's cancelled again, Dundee FC should receive a very hefty fine and be closed down for good.
Sporting integrity demands it.Good to see supporters will be allowed in.

yesIs the game on Wednesday going to be on Sky?
I remember the state of the San Siro in the 90s and they regularly resurfaced patches of it and relaid the turf practically every year. It was a disgrace but np surprise considering that 2 clubs using it week in week out it never got a chance to recover. The turf needs to root and bed in.
If you did as you suggest the turf would just move when played on.
Yes, as has always been the caseIs the game on Wednesday going to be on Sky?
No more nails thenThe turf needs to root and bed in.

Hope not my blood pressure can’t take another performance like yesterday. Is the game on Wednesday going to be on Sky?
If required, they might give Main Stand to Dundee fans and the one opposite to Rangers fans. Subject to having the necessary Dens Park ticket.Be fun and games getting fans in and allocating stands seats etc. Amateurs and chancers running the game
Sounds like some fans should head round with drones about the time of the inspection...Dundee / SPFL have disallowed TV from covering tomorrow mornings pitch inspection
