Sad news. Watched the c4 football italia opening sequence on twitter earlier for the first time in years, genuinely sent a shiver down my spine. Brought back some memories.

Great commentator & especially when Italian football was laden with superstars at the time & when it was Sky’s football flagship before the English premiership was formed.

Genuinely saddened to learn of his passing.

Serie A, via Ch4’s Saturday morning Gazzetta & Sunday’s Football Italia live matches, really made me fall in love with football.

By God he commentated on some superstars in their prime.

Loved Football Italia when I was growing up. My first real taste of foreign football and Brackley’s brilliant commentary was an essential part of it.

Sad news.

He was on Pro Evo also if I remember correctly.

He was mate,Trevor Brooking was his co- commentator on the first half dozen or so Pro Evo's.

One of my favourites, loved serie a live football, and quite young at 67, sad loss indeed. Apparently he did voices for Spitting Image.
