He couldn’t, could he?!
Matondo is also training.
If fit enough, I’d start them both.

Assume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.He couldn’t, could he?!

Understand what you’re saying, but the alternative options aren’t that great.Matondo is better as a sub, he very rarely makes an impact when he starts. Sima I would but I doubt he'll be ready.
Sterling needs to be in the midfield 3Assume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.
Fingers crossed mateHe couldn’t, could he?!

He does, but we don’t have anyone who can protect Tav. Having a right side of McCausland and Tav would kill us defensively in an area they already target. Sima and Tav, with Sterling in the middle though…Sterling needs to be in the midfield 3
Having both available as bench options would be massive. Even if Sima was only good for the last 10 or 15Matondo is better as a sub, he very rarely makes an impact when he starts. Sima I would but I doubt he'll be ready.
Sterling needs to be in midfield. If we start with a number 10 then the midfield will lost the battle and we will lose the game.Assume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.

"Purely for tactical reasons" he should be dropped for his rotten performances in every old firm game tbh.Ooft. If we could get Sima fit enough to start, that would be ideal for me and solve a few selection issues.
Drop Sterling back to solid midfield 3 with Lundstrum and Dio. Sima on the right, Silva on the left. Means that Cantwell drops out but purely for Tactical reasons and would be decent option off the bench.
Teams who have caused them the most problems have sat in tight to start with.Understand what you’re saying, but the alternative options aren’t that great.
We need to have a go at them. It’s the only way to get a victory.
This all day long, only way we competeSterling needs to be in the midfield 3
Don’t trust our back line to be able to do that. If they manage an early goal again, then we are chasing.Teams who have caused them the most problems have sat in tight to start with.
if he's 50% he plays imhoHe couldn’t, could he?!

Butland
Tav Souttar Balogun/Davies Yilmaz
Sterling Lundstram Dio
Cantwell Silva Sima
would be ideal.
AgreecEven the option of bringing them off the bench would be a massive boost.
How about playing Sterling at RB and Tav on the right wing?Assume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.
It's sad that we need someone defensive Infront of our eight back and captain to "protect" him.He does, but we don’t have anyone who can protect Tav. Having a right side of McCausland and Tav would kill us defensively in an area they already target. Sima and Tav, with Sterling in the middle though…
And also gives us the width and an out ball with there paceHaving them both back could be a massive boost, we really need pace in the side.
I highly doubt he’s going to experiment with formation. No, Sterling in midfield with Lundstram and Diomande.
And I’d be tempted to go with Silva ahead of Dessers, too.
Actually, scrap that, right now, if Matondo and Sima are fit, I’m thinking a 4-1-3-2:
Matondo Sima
Raskin Diomande Sterling
Lundstram
Yilmaz Souttar Balogun Tavernier
Butland
Sterling must play man marking MacGregorAssume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.

Sterling on the right can help Tav with Shutting down Odjob.Assume you’re dropping Sterling and Silva. I’d probably start Sima on the left and keep Sterling on the right even if Matondo is fit.
I would like to see that, with Duj lamping that fekin Oddjob kant. Almost worth a goal...How about playing Sterling at RB and Tav on the right wing?
Have you watched our defence lately? We're better off going for it because they aren't much better.Teams who have caused them the most problems have sat in tight to start with.

Every team has that. Not just us.It's sad that we need someone defensive Infront of our eight back and captain to "protect" him.
Embarrassing a Rangers captain needing help against that dud.Sterling on the right can help Tav with Shutting down Odjob.
