I think at one time it was incorporated into their badge.Reminds me of the Lime tree that was on the boundary ropes at Canterbury when Kent would play County Cricket
Was going to post , just inside the boundary ropeReminds me of the Lime tree that was on the boundary ropes at Canterbury when Kent would play County Cricket
I believe it is still there. My auntie lived up the close next to the ash tree (from the mid sixties until they got punted out to Cumbernauld) on Franklin Terrace on Argyle Street. Apparently the roots are too well embedded in the foundations to safely remove it. It’s been there 164 years.Wee aside, is the “only” tree in Argyle Street still there?
Plenty at Dens Park!
There was indeed. On the way into the away end if I recall correctly. I always thought that would be an excellent quiz question. There was an apple tree in easter road it provided ammunition to launch at the hivs fans
Thanks. I remember walking past it in the 50/60’s and my father telling me it was the only tree on Argyle Street.I believe it is still there.
