Trees in Stadiums

Had some great nights watching Northern Spirit at North Sydney oval when I was over in Oz for a year in 2001/2002.

They had a massive tree at 1 end of the ground.

Was always great weather and a few beers at the game then a night out.

Quality of football was abysmal mind!

Does the Brechin hedge count?

Wee aside, is the “only” tree in Argyle Street still there?
I believe it is still there. My auntie lived up the close next to the ash tree (from the mid sixties until they got punted out to Cumbernauld) on Franklin Terrace on Argyle Street. Apparently the roots are too well embedded in the foundations to safely remove it. It’s been there 164 years.

St Albans used to have an Oak tree on the terrace. I'm sure they were denied promotion one year because of it .

Thanks. I remember walking past it in the 50/60’s and my father telling me it was the only tree on Argyle Street.
