Up to the end of his contract in 2025…. Staying on at least one more season.
You’re right. Billions in debt new stadium no idea where the money is coming from.Strange one in a sense. Absolutely loved him as a player, so good - however this Barca side and situation overall are an absolute circus.
Haven't they put a lot of money into the New Nou Camp? You’re right. Billions in debt new stadium no idea where the money is coming from.
I was there the same month, and did the Museum Tour.Haven't they put a lot of money into the New Nou Camp?
Was in Barcelona last September and the Nou Camp was a building site
I personally loved him as a player. Why the hate for him?Wee fuckin banger
FF hates everybody apart from Jude Bellingham.I personally loved him as a player. Why the hate for him?
FF hates everybody apart from Jude Bellingham.
You can pick any team or player in world football and you can guarantee someone on FF has an irrational hatred for them.I personally loved him as a player. Why the hate for him?
They’re the current la Liga champions.Barcelona just seem so small time now.
They're in their Man United post-Fergie phase.
They would also be kicking about in about 8th in the EPL.They’re the current la Liga champions.
Spotify's are paying for the upgradeYou’re right. Billions in debt new stadium no idea where the money is coming from.
Coz its Barca, the Tim's of spainI personally loved him as a player. Why the hate for him?
Man United were current Premier League champions post-fergie and were sitting 8th and out of every competition when Moyes was sacked. They’re the current la Liga champions.
Not for long. They’re the current la Liga champions.
Ian Black and its not irrational. You can pick any team or player in world football and you can guarantee someone on FF has an irrational hatred for them.
His league title win is often overlooked.Easy to forget that Barcelona are still reigning champions of Spain considering how much of a basket case they appear to be.
That they may be but come on, there’s no denying he was one of the greatest of all time.Coz its Barca, the Tim's of spain
He already said he was going at the end of this season. For me he was one of the best midfield players in recent times. Barcelona have been hamstrung with financial problems for years now with no sign of that changing. They suggest he's happy to stay and work with younger players rather than the transfer policy they have been following for the last few seasons.Effectively announcing he's leaving in a year's time.
Never seems to work out well for teams whose managers announce they are going well in advance.
Barcelona tend not to go down the big name route and often promote internally (Marquez likely) or ex playerBayern, Liverpool and probably Man Utd looking for new managers in summer. If you're Barca, do you want to be competing with them in the current climate?
Xavi was starting to get cold feet for weeks now. Prior to the last two games he had turned it back round and his use of the younger players was making him love the job again.
I think he will want another year or two to make them a force again before handing over to Rafa Marquez.
Great to see Xavi stay on

They also won the league last season so they're not a million miles away from competing with Real in the near futureFor all that Barca are a perceived shambles they will be in the CL next season, were probably a red card decision away from facing Dortmund in this season's semis and would likely have been favourites to reach the final and will be moving into a newly revamped stadium soon.
They're obviously behind Real Madrid at the moment but there is no real shame in that. A Barca shambles differs considerably from most club's shambles.
Comparisons with Man Utd are well wide of the mark.
Aw he was a magnificent player , but he played for that shower , so instant kudos dropThat they may be but come on, there’s no denying he was one of the greatest of all time.

There is no doubt they have been ran shambolically but they are nowhere near the level of shambles that Man Utd have been for over ten years. That's quite the "what if"
They've been ran shambolically in recent years, I think even the most ardent Barca fan would concede that. La Masia continues to be a god send because they're reportedly looking at another summer of sales and free agents due to the financial situation.
Current champions, 2nd place in La Liga at the moment, and quarter finals of the Champions League for the first time in a long time. That's quite the "what if"

Just because they are a good bit behind a very good Real Madrid team doesn't mean that they have been ran shambolically in recent years. Laporta has been fighting fire due to the chaos created by the Bartomeu regime, and he has been doing it incredibly well. Barcelona have some incredible young talent in the team at the moment - Araujo, Cubarsi, Balde, Pedri, Gavi, Yamal, Lopez all between the ages of 16 and 22 and playing and starting regularly for a team who has just reached the quarter finals of the Champions League.
They’ll wait the year and see if Klopp doesn’t fancy MadridBayern, Liverpool and probably Man Utd looking for new managers in summer. If you're Barca, do you want to be competing with them in the current climate?
