The most frustrating thing about this guy is zero info. Has he had an operation? Is he going through rehab from it? What is the projected timeframe for recovery?
Zero info so it’s assumed he just hangs about. Yes the guy is entitled to privacy but it’s hardly telling us his bank account details if there was some info on recovery times.
The fact that eriksson is back playing already means it was either the club got it badly wrong, the healthcare team have or worse their is a player issue. Just tell the fans something after two years to fill the info void

Erickson has a pacemaker to help with his issue, maybe this one is more complicated and a pacemaker wouldn’t help otherwise it would have been fitted. He will see out his contract then probably retire

There are so many different heart conditions and just because Ericksen has had a pacemaker fitted does not mean all footballers with a heart issue can keep playing? Our player may still not even have a definite diagnosis and even if he now has had a diagnosis, he may need an ICD and not a pacemaker.

There is also the mental health aspect of being diagnosed with such a condition! I think some on this thread think just because someone else has had a pacemnaker fitted and is now playing, then our player should now be playing..It doesn't work like that with Heart conditions.

Beale spoke about him in a press conference after his Instagram post when he was questioned whether the comments were aimed at the club. He's had differing opinions from consultants and was due to go see another consultant.

It's nothing like Eriksen and he had to leave Italy to go play again because you aren't allowed to play any sport in Italy with the device he's had fitted.

I would hope Rangers have a bit more empathy than treating him as a "recipient". Could happen to any player.

Some of the language used when talking about the young guy is profoundly unsympathetic.
Rangers wouldn’t have the choice in the matter I was referring to, if indeed it’s the insurance company that is paying him, the insurance company will absolutely treat him as the recipient of the policy. That doesn’t mean they won’t deal with him sympathetically but they will not be treating him as their player or asset like the club would. Hopefully that’s a bit clearer mate.

Good. The last thing we need is another batch of crocks who get paid millions for being unavailable. I guess you dont mind watching the tims overtake us.

By the way anyone more interested in sick pay than win bonuses isnt worth buying.

Our sick list this year isnt down to bad luck.
He is hardly a "crock" just messing about is he now? The guy has heart issues which is totally different from what you are inferring.

Rangers are in a tough place and its obviously very tough for the player, but if we have sent him to see all the best doctors in the field and they have said not to let him play/train then we need to do that, if he plays and has a heart attack we are at fault. Shame for the player.

Just like you and me he is entitled to medical confidentiality. We won’t hear anything unless he wants us to.

Its because the msm don't highlight it as much.
Disagree with this. I haven’t see the MSM mention this guy in a while. The only time he’s mentioned is on here.

At this stage I think we should be looking to come to agreement with the player to get him out of the club. Having these guys hanging around just brings on pressure the manager doesn’t need.

The usual monthly post about this man.

I'll say what I said before.

If he ends up playing for us - I'm fine with that.

If our medical team spotted something that prevented 50,000 (or the away troops at any other ground) of us watching an event similar or worse than we had to endure with Eriksen, and he never kicks a ball for us and has a long and happy life - I'm fine with that.

The guys health and long term future is the only thing that matters here.
Yes and no. It’s the most important thing, but not the only thing. Come to an agreement with him and let him move on with his life, whether that’s in or out of football. Realistically it’ll never be with Rangers

I think the pressure he is under both physically and mentally dealing with a heart problem is much bigger than anything Beale has to deal with...

What pressure does it bring on Beale? He seldom gets asked about him and he probably very rarely sees him. He certainly won’t consider him a part of his squad.

MSM do not mention Celtics signing failures is what I was getting at.

Maybe it's not cryptic to him / his family /his friends.

Not his problem if somebody who follows his Instagram thinks 'people huv tae know'
I could be wrong but I am sure social media is for letting people know..........people who follow you.
Family and friends would more likely be a group chat for personal.messages and unlikely to be cryptic.

It’s just another name on the list of players out long term. I think we have stood by the lad for a while but surely there comes a point when you need to part ways and move on.

Apparently you are wrong. Nothing else matters. Regardless of our need to build a successful team its all about our support of those players we signed who might never play for us.

The club isn’t and hasn’t been in control of his treatments or diagnosis. They had the initial discovery and he’s been with specialist ever since and has seen quite a few.

There’s no one fit for all as Mwepu was forced to retire and had an episode behind the shell of his car despite being told he was ok. It’s a really difficult issue.

Lastly us not being told anything is because we generally are not entitled to know. The club have told us he had a heart condition and that’s all they need to, he’s entitled to privacy.

I dont mean this in a horrible way. People just need to forget about this lad for now. The only thing that matters is that this guy can run about with his kids when he's older without worrying about dropping down dead. Let's just hope he can be fully healed. From a football point of view I don't get some folks fascination with seeing him in the team. It's not like we signed him for millions of pounds and expecting him to be a difference maker. He was a low cost punt, see what we could develop him into. Basically a Jake Hastie type. I doubt we'll ever see him for us between his condition and it'll take him time to get to his level again if that'll even be possible. In terms of cryptic messages, who really cares. I'm sure if there's anything juicy we'll hear about it in a podcast one day. Best of luck to the young man in his recovery.

I don’t get it. We’ve cared for the lad very well and paid the price for a poor signing which was out with our control. We give him the support and help he needs to move on with his career elsewhere because let’s get real it’s not going to be at Rangers. Instead there’s bleeding hearts on here dying to tell you that he should get medical treatment for 4 years without kicking a ball. Have a think at the strain that puts on our medical team, which I’ll point out was clearly lacking last season and since the head doctor left and was not replaced. There’s more to think about here than one single player

So, no additional 'pressure' on Beale. We will do what we can whilst he's under contract and then he will be released. Hopefully by that stage the lad will know whether he has a future in football or not. It looks unlikely though. Paying up his contract early saves us nothing and, potentially, simply leads to more bad publicity for us for ditching him early.

If the lad himself already knows he no longer has a future and asks for a settlement to pursue an alternative route then that changes things, but I'd suggest it needs to be driven by him rather than the Club.

It won't be our medical team looking after him, by the way. It will certainly be outside consultants, and probably funded by insurance.

Its called virtue signalling. Some like to take the moral high ground while not factoring in the club's need to win trophies. Best ignored.

Absolutely none.

The club doctor is not a cardiologist, and any checkups at this stage will be a "how are you doing, let's check your BP and your bloods. If any of them are off them my secretary will get in touch with Ross Hall and they will contact you directly"

His issue should have been picked up by our medical team but we know what their recent history has been like

It was picked up during his medical with an ECG test.

He's not under treatment with our medical team.

It's harsh, but sooner his contract runs down the better.

Shame for the lad, but we have been picking up a wage for nothing really.
