World Cup 2022 Poland v Argentina, Saudi Arabia v Mexico, Australia v Denmark, Tunisia v France - Wednesday 30th

How would a Poland red card affect the disciplinary records?

There was a post here last week that said it wasn't as simple as cards, different cards had different points.

A red for Poland would mean they are out.

I think.

He’s going on about drawing lots like it’s never happened at a WC before. It’s how Ireland finished above Holland in 1990

His fawning over Messi is really nauseating. He's not going to let you blow him, Danny.
Tbf messi has been excellent pen miss aside. Looks like he has at last players round about him to do the running whilst he pulls the strings

I remember that group, it was completely mental. 5 games out of 6 drawn and ROI and Netherlands had completely identical records.

At least on that occasion both sides were through so the drawing of lots was just to determine who finished in which position for the last 16 matches. A side being completely eliminated that way seems a bit unfair.

Are Poland really this bad or are they genuinely happy to play this game out hoping Mexico don’t score ? If it is the later they absolutely don’t deserve anything.

Last sub was a defender on for a midfielder so guess they're holding what they have.

“Shots on goal would better than disciplinary points”

Imagine the Mexico players shooting from the half way and the goal having a go to get through

Looks like Mexico need to score, because the Argies are just passing it back and forward now.

Would love to see 2 bookings and winner being drawn from a hat.

Hopefully mexico score though as Poland have been awful games to watch.
