Bury FC phoenix club

It may appear as a steep collapse but in honesty we ended up with too many postponed games having to be crammed in.
You could see at the end the players were out on their feet - doing their day job then playing sat tues thurs sat tues thurs
The Vauxhall Motors games where we played them on consecutive tuesdays and they got the 6 points with their hand of God goal- an obvious slam dunk - and them getting our player sent off instead of us getting the penalty - was the turning point
It was a blow letting in last kick equalisers in the last few games, especially at Wythenshawe Town, and away at the IoM their goalkeeper was the man of the match

So it has been a valiant effort for our young club and it may not be as disappointing as first glance would make you think

Thanks for your continued interest
You GERS are simply the best, and it was brilliant to meet up with @jimmy5141 and his good wife on the IoM
Also hoping to meet @GazzaG soon
Also we are still indebted to @acousticblue forsetting up this thread and to the many great Rangers fans who have supported us
You are all amazing
Thanks

There are plenty of twist and turns due to happen in the coming weeks which will take some explaining
When i know what the something is, i will try and put it into words that i can understand

I have only just arrived home from my Isle of Man trip which included dashing up to Barnoldswick last night. Spent today in the Peak District in Castleton where we went down the Blue John Cavern and then climbed up to Peveril Castle. Now back in Norwich.
Last game of the season coming up on Saturday

Our last game of the season today, our 60th game of the season and a victory against Winsford Utd will seal 4th place
More details can be seen below

Winsford got off to a good start taking a 1 nil lead after about 10 minutes, but Connor Comber got an equaliser before the Winsford captain got sent off and then Comber hit a belter for a second goal to give us the half time score Bury 2 - 1 Winsford

Elhassen grabbed the fourth
Connor Comber finished with a hat trick

5 - 1 final score

Last night Bury got back to winning ways at Barnoldswick Town with a 0 - 2 victory

I had travelled back from the Isle of Man on the ferry to Liverpool and just got to Barnoldswick Town FC in time for the kick off.
Just one game to go for the season now, on Saturday, a home game being played back In Radcliffe at the Nueven stadium against Winsford Utd.

Voting closed ahead of tonights general meeting.

We'll know tonight whether Bury FC will be playing at Gigg Lane next season.
The vote process update is below

As we approach the conclusion of the amalgamation vote we would like to remind members of both societies of the process should the amalgamation be approved.

Shakers Community Society had just over 1400 eligible voters and Bury FC Supporters’ Society had around 1300. These are big numbers in the context of fan ownership, and turnouts were high last time at 80% and 75% respectively. We are pleased to report that we will be near those turnout numbers again.

There are two votes required to pass the motion to amalgamate the two societies. The first is the most critical as it requires under law a two thirds majority from each society’s members. The results will be announced after 7pm on Friday 5th May.

There will be a second confirmatory vote, which simply asks members to ratify the decision made with the results announced at another Special General Meeting 14 days later on Friday 19th May. This should be a more of a formality as it requires a simple majority of 50% of members to vote in favour.

Both societies need to approve both votes independently for it to go through.

If it’s all agreed, the paperwork will be filed with the Financial Conduct Authority, and an interim Community Benefit Society board will be formed to deal with administration such as banking and to launch a full election so that a new board can be created based on the votes of the combined membership of both societies. The Terms of Reference for the Interim Board can be found here.

The election process is already written and part of the paperwork members were issued with before the current vote started and should complete by 30th June, so that a new, fully elected Community Benefit Society board is in place in advance of the start of the new season.

There is no need to cancel your current membership. This revenue is critical to us. They will remain valid, with the same voting rights until we start to transfer memberships to the new Community Benefit Society. This could take some time, but as the new Society membership will be £5 per month or £60 per annum any renewal subscriptions paid to either Society will be credited forward.

We are hopeful that the vote will be approved this time, and look forward to welcoming everyone to Gigg Lane to watch Bury Football Club in the summer.

Shakers Community members will receive an email invite to the Zoom meeting for the General Meeting on Friday.

BFCSS 90.1% in favour.
The Bury AFC Shakers Community

The motion to adopt of the Gigg Lane Stadium as the football club’s home playing venue was approved by 97% of the vote. 1116 were in favour, 34 against and 9 abstentions.

The motion to adopt Bury Football Club as the playing name was approved by 92% of the vote. 1046 were in favour, 95 against and 24 abstentions.

The Resolution that the Society and Bury Football Club Supporters’ Society Limited (Register number 29385R) (“BFCSS”) shall be amalgamated pursuant to section 109 of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 was approved by 97% of the vote. 1109 were in favour, 35 against and 15 abstentions.

As the Bury Football Supporters’ Society also approved their motion to amalgamate with a 90% majority we are pleased to confirm that the amalgamation will proceed subject to the Confirmatory Vote which will now begin and the results announced at the next General Meeting at 7pm on 19th May.

BFCSS

Bury Football Club Supporters Society would like to thank all fans who voted on the future of your club. A fan owned club is nothing without its loyal fans, you are all valued and have a part to play.

Under Section 111 of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 this resolution must be passed by not less than two thirds of those members present and voting at the meeting (whether in person or by proxy), and must be confirmed by a further Special Resolution at a second general meeting.

Votes in favour are 952 (90.1%) and votes against the resolution are 105 (9.9%)

During the SGM and the voting process the independent company Mi Voice have ensured compliance, counted, ratified all eligible votes and verified the result.

The outcome of the vote is that the required threshold of 66.6% has been achieved, the resolution has therefore passed.

What we are building today, is for those who will look back, be proud of the work we as volunteers have put into establishing this club as a shining example of a sustainable fan owned football club.

We would ask every person to now look to themselves as to how best you can support Bury Football Club. The future of your club is in your hands, join us, become members and be a part of the future.

Do not walk away, come back to be part of the future of Bury FC, we are the Shakers.

We the result is as expected
Hope to hell we keep sustainable but with the SM chatter from the SS supporters the pressure is on as they seem to think despite the added costs of Gigg Lane we can spend our way to the EFL, they have learned nothing.
NEVER AGAIN

Statement on Vote Result

Adam Ingram-May 19, 2023-News-0 Comments
We are pleased to announce that the confirmatory vote for the amalgamation has been passed by both societies and we can now move on to the next stage of the process to apply to use the playing name Bury Football Club and progress the legal work required to amalgamate the two societies and form one membership, and launch a vote to establish the new Society board.
For now, please keep your membership subscriptions in place as they will be moved across to the new society as long as you continue to pay your subscription. Memberships for both societies are £5 per month or £60 per annum and they are both now open again for membership.
For the election, which will take place in a few weeks’ time, only one vote per person is allowed. So you only need to maintain one society subscription. If you are a member of both you only have one vote.
In the meantime, both existing societies and once FCA approved the new society, called The Football Supporters’ Society of Bury, will be managed by the interim board. The board members are Mike Goodier, Mike Howarth, Karl Lee, Alistair Rowe, Martin Stembridge, Dave Triggs, John Woodhead and Phil Young. Rod Peters is the non-voting secretary. You will continue to receive communication from both societies in future, and the new society once it is FCA approved. Anyone not wishing to do so can opt out of emails or terminate their membership at any time.
There is a huge amount of work to be done to get us ready to play at Gigg Lane. We look forward to welcoming you all down there in future. The interim board are first prioritising the work which needs to happen to ensure we can play league fixtures at Gigg Lane next season. This includes a number of items which the North West Counties Football League want us to address, alongside other legal requirements such as safety certificates and various licences. We will move through the other many suggestions members and volunteers have made designed to make Gigg Lane as welcoming and hospitable as possible once we have addressed the priority items.
We have established a number of volunteer committees who are managing much of the day-to-day work, and intend to extend this further and invite more people in due course.
We will launch a vote for the new home and away Bury kit in the very near future so please look out for emails and information on that over the next few days.
The Shakers Community Society Limited Confirmatory Vote showed 98% were in favour of confirming the decision to amalgamate the two societies made at the previous General Meeting on 5th May.
1093 votes were cast, with 1073 in favour, 20 against and 13 abstentions.
We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to the Shakers Community board members who are now standing down and have been instrumental in building a successful club both on and off the pitch.

Thank you so much for your continued support, it really is amazing and appreciated.

Next season will be interesting for many reasons, with our team playing at Gigg Lane.

Back in 2019 after being expelled from the English Football League and prevented from getting Gigg Lane off the then Chairman of Bury FC, SD2, it became unimaginable that it could change.

Still a lot of hard work to be achieved, but there is daylight now

Thanks again for your incredible support and interest. Rangers fans are the Best.

3 home shirt is a cracker. 1 is good also. 2 looks too much like a polo shirt.

Away’s 1,2,3. 2 is a bit different but can’t figure out whether I like it or not.

Been quiet on the Bury front since the merger of the two Community Benefit Societies into one

However, it has been announced that CCFB Realisations, formerly known as Bury Football Club Ltd, is still in administration and the anticipated liquidation at the end of May has not happened because the administrator, Mr Wiseglass, has got the court to give yet another extension. So our Bury FC is still in administration until 24/11/2024
In my opinion this is scandalous and when the reason for the extension is revealed i will let you know.

How will this complicate matters, i dont know, but there is a current silence as Bury AFC have applied to the FA for a change of name to Bury FC and this is causing a delay to issuing updates and information

Hoping to have encouraging news soon

A comment has been made re the above in response to the length of time of the administration period and it says what i am thinking
" i take your point on how an administration process can take a significant period of time, however I cannot think of another ex professional football club that has encountered a longer period in administration.

You have got to give it to Wiseglass though. He has successfully navigated his way through a number of complaints submitted to the insolvency practitioners association about his inappropriate conduct and behaviour in his dealings with this administration and by the end of the extended period of administration he will have protected both Day and Dale from the prospects of facing any criminal proceedings.

Wiseglass and Inquesta may not have been the first company approached by Dale to take on the failed CVA and the current administration, however Wiseglass has done a remarkable job in protecting both Dale and Day by continually extended the administration period whilst finding and revealing nothing more significant in his administrator’s updates than the cost to the motorbike club to use the car park to practice!

Wiseglass is also fully aware that as time goes on the apathy will further increase, while the anger amongst the supporters, creditors and shareholders is slowly subsiding.

More importantly though the likelihood of Wiseglass finding any evidence of wrongdoing is becoming more and more remote as time passes by, despite the fact that he will have used the pretence of uncovering further evidence as his rationale for requesting a further extension to the administration period."

It has just been confirmed
